Share a Little Sunshine in Florida
Volusia and Flagler Counties have started a new campaign to attract visitors to Florida, "Share a Little Sunshine."
According to the Daytona Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, more than 7 million people visited Volusia County last year, spending more than $4.6 billion. Tourism generated about 42,000 jobs, with an annual payroll exceeding $57 million.
The new marketing campaign calls for residents to e-mail and invite their friends, family and loved ones to Florida to reconnect and share time together. In return, residents will be entered into a drawing to win one of 12 weekly Florida trip giveaways.
