Green Buying Remains Important
Even with the economic problems in the country, most US buyers are still committed to "buying green" and building a more sustainable future. In a recent poll, more than 2/3 of those who purchase "green" products or services said their buying habits are unchanged, and 1/4 now buy more green products and services than ever.
When asked how the economic downturn has changed their buying habits, 73% responded that they "buy green." Of those 73%, 67% buy the same amount as they had before the last few years, and 26% bought more.
Even more positive, 26% said they would be more likely to visit a "green" business or restaurant, and 8% would be more likely to buy "green" even if it required extra distance or effort, should the goods and services be equal.
Soon we will not have to put Green in quotation marks!
