Daytona Beach Area Market Statistics for March
I have just reviewed the monthly statistics for our area from the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service and I thought you'd like to know the current activity from March 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009.
There are currently 5503 active residential listings. There are 3120 listed houses as of today and 206 houses have sold between March 1, 2009 and March 31, 2009. There are 1488 listed condos as of today with 52 condos having sold between March 1, 2009 and March 31, 2009.
There are always some of these houses that are Short Sales and agents may have offers that the banks have not approved as yet. Bank approvals for short sales are starting to move a little faster than in the past! We also have Bank Owned properties in the marketplace. Financing options are changing as well so buyers may in some cases obtain financing but with more challenges, which often means delay in obtaining loan approvals. Appraisals have become a challenge as well with few sales to document value.
