Time to Spend those Gift Cards and Store Credits
After receiving emails from 5 folks today listing about 20 companies that will be closing stores nationwide after the first of the year, I decided I should check out the rumors.
AOL Money has an article on their front page about the changes coming in retail stores. I quote, "From Foot Locker and Home Depot to Ann Taylor and Linens 'n Things, we round up more than 30 retailers that are closing (at least some) of their doors." Scary.

Pier 1 Imports

Sharper Image

Saks Fifth Avenue
I don't have the answers for the economic downturn, but this will affect most consumers in all parts of the country. So dig out that gift card you got for your birthday or credit slip for the loud tie, and be sure and spend them soon.
And don't give up on the real estate market - there are some great buyer opportunities waiting!
