Daytona Speed Weeks 2008What will NASCAR's Car of Tomorrow look like on the historic high banks of Daytona International Speedway?How will Dale Earnhardt Jr. fare with his new team at Hendrick Motorsports? Race fans will try find out thse answers and much more during 2008 NASCAR Preseason Thunder Fan Fests as their favorite NASCAR teams and drivers prepare for the historic 50th running of the Daytona 500 as well as other DIRECTV Speedweeks events such as the Camping World 300 presented by Chevy, the Chevy Silverado 250 Craftsman Truck Series race and the Budweiser Shootout. Each year hundreds of thousands of race fans come to experience the start of the new race year! It's time to check out the cars, drivers, other fans and the warm sunny south! It's a racing double header starting with the ARCA 200 followed by the dash for cash under the lights as the 2007 Bud Pole winners and past winners battle for supremacy in the Budweiser Shootout.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers battle for the most sought after pole position in stock car racing.....The Daytona 500!

GATORADE DUEL AT DAYTONA                                                                          February 14, 2008

NASCAR Sprint cup Series drivers and teams duel it out for the right to take the green flag in the Great American Race in two pressure-packed 150 mile qualifying races.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers put on a bumper to bumper, wheel to wheel show from the green to the checkered flag under the lights at the World Center of Racing.

50TH RUNNING OF THE DAYTONA 500!

Join us as we celebrate the 50th running of the world's most famous stock car race-the DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, February 17, 2008. The 50th Daytona 500 will mark a golden moment in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history making event in many ways. Don't miss out on the festivities as we recognize the history of the Daytona 500.

U.S. AIR FORCE THUNDERBIRDS FLYOVER TO BE PART OF THE HISTORIC 50TH DAYTONA 500 FESTIVITIES!

The world-reknowned "Thunderbirds" - the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron- will provide race fans with an aerial spectacle during the National Anthem flyover at the historic 50th running of the Daytona 500-NASCAR's biggest, richest and most prestigious race on Sunday, February 17th at Daytona International Speedway. It is the first time the exclusive squadron will perform a flyover at the historic "World Center of Racing." It will also be the first flyover by the exclusive group in 2008!
