July sales slowed considerably from April-June. The inventory of short sales and foreclosed homes continues to rise and put pressure on prices. Rates are still at historic lows, so buyers are looking but not as aggressively. Numbers quoted in this article are for the Daytona Beach metropolitan area, which includes Ponce Inlet, the Ormond Beach area, Port Orange, Flagler Beach, Palm Coast, New Smyrna Beach, Deltona, and Deland, among others.
